Overview
The Audit Committee participates in the evaluation of proposals for auditing services and recommends, with the Town Manager, an auditing firm to the Town Council for selection. The members annually review audit reports and issue an independent report to the Council on the Town's progress in implementing the prior fiscal year's recommendations.
The Committee also provides input into development of the annual audit scope, reviews audit progress and comments on the Town's annual self-assessment of performance against the Town Council's Financial Management Policies.
