Appointments

The five members are appointed to staggered four-year terms by the Town Council. One member shall be a licensed architect, if available for appointment, and another shall be a licensed landscape architect, if one is available for appointment.

Duties

The ASRB reviews residential applications for community character, site planning, building design, and landscape elements; reviews applications for non-residential development; and makes recommendations to the Planning Director or Planning Commission regarding approval or disapproval, and suggests modifications or imposes conditions in accordance with the evaluation criteria set forth in the Woodside Municipal Code (Title 15, Chapter 153, beginning at Section 153.910). The Code charges the ASRB with protecting the rural character and natural beauty of the Town. The ASRB ensures that projects are consistent with the General Plan and are in keeping with the Residential Design Guidelines.
