Home Electrification and Battery Storage Event

On Sunday, March 30, the Climate & Sustainability Committee hosted a Home Electrification and Battery Storage event in Independence Hall. The event featured speakers from Peninsula Clean Energy (the town’s electricity provider) on their programs and rebates, Steve Schmidt from HomeIntel who talked about reducing unnecessary electrical loads, Jeff Beaman an Energy Engineer and founder of Mountain Microgrids on electrification and battery backup, and Nancy Larocca Hedley, a local homeowner who has fully electrified her home and ADU.
