On March 2, 2025, the Environment & Open Space Committee held an event, Spotlight on Owls and Bluebirds. Attendees discovered the beauty and unique lives of cavity nesting bluebirds and owls, their importance to the ecosystem, and how they act as natural pest control agents in gardens. The presenters spoke about how you can help create safe and welcoming habitats for our feathered friends.

- Rick Morris (In The Wild with Rick Morris), a birder and local photographer, shared his magnificent photos of owls in their natural habitat. Rick was recently featured in the Almanac and leads highly regarded local birding photography tours.
