The Town has received reports of fake malicious emails not originating from the Town but targeting the Town’s related contacts and demanding payment via wire transfer. If you receive an email requesting payment and it appears to be from a generic Town email address, please verify with Town staff before making payment.

Overview

The Planning Department is responsible for developing, refining and implementing long-range land use policies associated with the General Plan and various Specific Plans for the Town of Woodside. The Planning Department also processes and analyzes development and building projects for conformance with Town regulations and environmental impacts.

The Planning Department is located at Woodside Town Hall.

Project Submittals

Submittals for development projects requiring a public hearing by the Town’s Architectural and Site Review Board (ASRB), Planning Commission, and/or Town Council are processed by the Planning Department.  Prior to submitting an application, applicants are encouraged to meet with a Planner to discuss development standards, submittal requirements, and steps to complete the process. Contact the Planning Department via phone or email above to set up an appointment, or visit Town Hall during drop-in counter hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Both hard copies and electronic copies of submittal documents are required. Applications will be processed and routed once hard copies and electronic copies of all submittal documents are received and all fees have been paid. Fees may be paid by cash or check. Please schedule an appointment with a Planner to determine associated fees and formally submit your application.

For Building inspections by the Building and/or Engineering Departments, please call (650) 851-6796 and select option 1 for Building, or email the Building Department.
