November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election

The Town of Woodside holds by-district elections for its five Town Council seats in November of even numbered years. Councilmembers serve staggering four-year terms. The General Municipal Election on November 5, 2024 is being held for three Town Council seats for full four-year terms ending 2028 in the following Districts: 

  • District 1
  • District 4
  • District 5

Town Clerk's Certification That There Are Not More Candidates Than Offices To Be Elected

On August 15, 2024, the Interim Town Clerk issued the Town Clerk's Certification That There Are Not More Candidates Than Offices To Be Elected. The Town Council held a Special Meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10 am to decide whether to appoint these candidates to office or hold the election. After discussion and deliberation, no motion was made to appoint the candidates. The election will go forward on November 5, 2024.

Write-In Candidates

The filing period for write-in candidates is Monday, September 9, 2024 through October 22, 2024. Write-in candidates must make an appointment with the Town Clerk to obtain and file Write-In Nomination Papers, the Statements of Write-In Candidacy and other required documents between those dates. 

Write-in candidate names and information will not appear on the ballot or in the Voter's Guide.
