The public may observe/participate in Livestock and Equine Heritage Committee meetings using remote public comment options or attending in person. Livestock and Equine Heritage Committee members shall attend in person unless remote participation is permitted by law. The Livestock and Equine Heritage Committee may take action on any item listed in the agenda.

Persons wishing to address the Committee on any appropriate subjects are invited to do so. Please note, however, that the Committee is not able to undertake extended discussion or to act on non-agenda items. Such items can be referred to staff for appropriate action, which may include placement on a future agenda. As a courtesy to others, the communications should be kept to a three-minute limit.
Approval of Minutes from January 24, 2024.
- Health and Safety– Report from Subcommittee. Continuing discussion on existing issues and town operations such as improper parking on trails, stabling, environmental impact on livestock.
a. Review of barn permit inspection process and LEHC role in guiding staff, committees and residents. Sage Schaan to present town perspective and open discussion with committee.
b. Meeting with town on guidelines for parking on trails, pending new staff. Yaz Emrani on board, delay meeting until up to speed. Consider joint project with Trails Committee.
c. Review Subcommittee membership
- Public Outreach – Report from Subcommittee. Continuing discussion on existing issues related to educational projects such as signage, website, publications, accomplishments of local equestrians.
a. Status of revisions to booklet – Keeping Horses in Woodside
b. Status of FAQ booklet on navigating building process, update
c. Status of review of new website
- Staffing and recruiting
- Report from Trails Committee meeting
